Grabs the ace.ini from V:Alldata and puts it on the hard drive after you have already run the program and closed it.
When plugging the ext drv into a different computer for the first time you use the AllData Install.cmd The first file (AllData.cmd) creates a subst drive (V:) for your ext drive. Copy con V:Remove V Drive.cmd subst /d v: This has not been tested on Windows XP or 7 but should work especially on 7. Start button/cmd/console/paste/F6/enter.Ĭopy con V:Start AllData.cmd subst V:%~d0 V:AllDataAllData Next file.same process as above. Now the next file, use the same process as above. Cmd this will open a command console, in that window right click and choose paste. Copy ace.ini%userprofile%AppDataRoamingThinstallAlldata%%drive_C%%ALLDATAW /y echo Enjoy!!! echo echo pause Alldata (I did this for Spanish speaking people too:-) Go to start button and in the search window type. Pause V: cd AllData AllData echo pause echo Copying device list to AllData. Echo -ADVERTENCIA!!!!- echo Espere hasta AllData abre por completo!!!!Įcho Entonces cerrarlo!!!! Echo Luego, haga clic de nuevo en esta ventana echo de nuevo y luego presione Intro. Echo -WARNINIG!!!!!- echo Wait until AllData opens completely!!!! Echo Then close it!!!! Echo Then click back in this window echo again and then press enter.
(hopefully this window will maintain the layout) copy con V:AllData Install.cmd off color 1E subst V:%~d0 echo If error above ignore. C:UsersHarryAppDataRoamingThinstallAlldata%drive_C%ALLDATAW Substitute your computer's currently logged on user's name where 'Harry' is.Ĭopy ace,INI to V:AllData Copy this text. (The goal here is to only do this once so that when you plug the ext drive into another computer it will be simplified.) Close the program then open explorer and put this into the top window.
V:(AllData Install.cmd, AllData.lnk-Shortcut, Remove V Drive.cmd) V:AllData(AllData.exe, Alldata, dat, ace,INI) V:Alldatadata(Data Folders-unpacked ISO Disks)Set ext drive as letter 'V:' Run AllData.exe (portable) and map all of your data folders one at a time.I know a pain in the neck but it must be done.
It is renaming the portable executable 'AllData.exe' and putting it in a directory created on the external drive along with data folders (ISO unpacked) put in a created folder 'Alldatadata' Dir structure and contents. (I don't speak Spanish:-) Thanks for the effort.Great Program!!! Solved the problem. I have a friend (computer noob) who wishes to send this to family in Mexico who are also noob's, so it is imperative that I automate it into it's simplest form for them. The problem is that the directory%drive_C% is treated as a variable in the script and therefore can't follow the path:-( I have tried using ' ' symbols to cause the interpreter to see the directory reference as text as within Unix with no luck. All you would have to do is ensure that the external drive on the target machine has the same drive letter assigned. I would like to create a batch file (bat/cmd) to copy and replace this file to the target machine from the external drive. Your program creates a directory structure. Since establishing the 'device' within Alldata for each unpacked DVD ISO is time consuming, I wished to automate this process for portability use on other computers after doing it once on a reference machine. After this was produced, AllData switched to online only.
